What you buy from us is personal. We collect only what we need to deliver your order, and we do not sell your information to anyone. This policy explains how [Legal business name] ("Hushlace", "we") handles your personal data under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

Account details: your name and phone number or, if you sign in with Google, your name and email address.
Delivery details: the name, phone number and address you enter at checkout, and any note you add.
Order details: what you ordered, including size and colour, and order and refund status.
Payment references: for online payments, the reference numbers from Razorpay. We never see or store your card numbers, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
Messages: anything you send us on WhatsApp or by email.

Why we use it

To sign you in, and to process, deliver and support your orders
To handle returns, exchanges, refunds and complaints
To prevent fraud and misuse
To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires

We will not send you marketing messages unless you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

Your privacy with lingerie

Parcels use plain packaging, with no product names on the label.
Your sizes and order history are visible only to the people who run the store and need them to fulfil your order.
We never ask for photos of you.

Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs to do its job:

Courier partners: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your parcel.
Razorpay: to process online payments and refunds.
Google: if you choose to sign in with Google.
SMS providers: your phone number, if you sign in with a one-time code.
Hosting and backup providers: to run the website and keep secure backups. Some of these services may store data outside India.
Government or legal authorities: when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and remember your cart. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details while your account is active. We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, generally up to 8 years. After that, we delete or anonymise them.

How we protect it

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to customer data is limited. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold, correct or update it, or delete it when we no longer need it. You can also withdraw any consent you gave, raise a complaint, and nominate someone to act for you. Email hello@hushlace.in and we will respond within a reasonable time, and no later than 90 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our store is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and show the new date at the top.

Grievance Officer

If you have a complaint, write to our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge it within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
